Tactical Gear News was lucky enough to interview two very important people at Gould & Goodrich–Robert Gould, former owner, and Scott Nelson, new president. In February 2012, Gould announced the new leadership and explained it was a necessary change.

“I was a pilot light and we needed a furnance,” Gould said of the recent sale. He and his business partner, John Goodrich, bought the company from Smith & Wesson back in the late 1980s.

In addition to learning the company’s history, Nelson talked about the trends in the industry and how they were addressing them. Impressed with the foundation of Gould & Goodrich, Nelson shared that there were no major changes for the company in the future.
