FOX Bans Firearms and Ammo Ads

Have you heard the one about Fox banning firearms and ammunitions adverts? Actually, this one isn’t a joke.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has just discovered that Fox Sports Media Group will not run any advertisements featuring firearms and ammunition during the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events.

No official statement has been released from the UFC, but NSSF has confirmed that “absolutely no firearms, ammo, hunting or knife companies will be permitted as sponsors in any Zuffa-promoted events.”

NSSF is calling all gun enthusiasts to rally against this ban. The Daily Caller writes, “Fox’s decision to ban advertisements for lawful products owned by more than 80 million Americans is nothing more than corporate gun control.  We expect better from Fox.  So should you.”

If you just so happen to be a firearms enthusiast want to urge Fox to rescind this policy, you can contact them at 310-369-1000 or through their website. Or you can always write an old fashioned letter and snail mail it to:

Corporate Headquarters FSN
10201 W. Pico, Bld. 103
Los Angeles, CA 90035

Do you think that Fox’s ban of these adverts will alienate its target audience?

  1. I have been becoming increasing disappointed in FOX and particularly FOX news. They are becoming more propagandized by the left and more main stream by the minute. So much for being far and balanced : (

  2. FOX’s decision to ban advertisements for lawful products owned by more than 80 million Americans is nothing more than corporate gun control. We expect better from FOX. I will personally boycott Fox, for this act.
